Warranty (the fine print)
All belts are covered by our 7 year guarantee
Firstly, we are so grateful for you supporting our small family business by parting with your hard earned cash. We put everything into making every Anvil Hide product as strong and durable as possible so that you can have a lifetime of use out of your product.
That said, we are working with leather and leather being a natural material is not completely indestructible, even though we spend extra in sourcing the best materials, sometimes things can still break. If that unpleasantly should occur at any time in the first 7 years, please feel free to reach out and we will make things right.
To be clear, we warrant all of our belts against material defects and workmanship under normal wearing conditions. If a claim on the warranty is made and after examining we find that the belt was used for purposes outside normal conditions - we may not be able to cover it.
Also this 7 year warranty does not include charges connected with shipping, freight, custom fees, or duties to ship product and it cannot be transferred if you sell your belt to someone else (proof of purchase is required for any claim)
Regarding wear and tear:
Obviously if you’re going to wear something everyday for 7 or more years there’s going to be some wear and tear - Its inevitable. Things like scratches to the leather, fading on the brass buckles or interscrews are all going to happen and are in our opinion tell a story of the life of your product - we do not consider these material defects. There are things you can do along the way to prolong the great look of your belt - like using our leather balm once a year, or using brass-o to shine that buckle back up.
If taken care of correctly, your belt can last decades so please remember, whether its relationships, a health body or a Toyota hilux - all things require some form of maintenance for a full life :)
As stated above, we are happy to replace items if they are defective or damaged. If you need to exchange a defective or damaged item, send us an email at email@example.com and we will reply with the address on where to you'll need to send the defective product. As most items are made to order, we do not exchange for change of mind or incorrect sizing - so please choose carefully and reach out and ask a question if you need to.
You will be responsible for paying for your own shipping costs for returning any item.
There may be varying times between sending your damaged product and receiving the new one. This will depend on your proximity to us, etc.
Remember, If you are shipping something over the value of $50, its a good idea to get insurance and a tracking number on your return. The few extra dollars will be worth it if your shipment gets lost in the mail.
