Australia’s finest Handmade Leather Dog Collar….

“Our dog Sammy looks a million bucks in her new Anvil Hide collar. Our friends at the local dog park instantly noticed how great Sammy looked with it on and were impressed enough to buy their own!”

If you’ve been looking for the kind of collar your dog can wear day and night without skipping a beat...

The kind of collar that will instantly separate your pooch from the rest of the pack down at the local dog park...

A collar made with natural bridle leather specifically with animal comfort in mind, that will not only feel great against your pups skin but wont damage his coat either.. durable that’ll outlast any other pet product you’ve ever owned?

Then look no further.

The Anvil Hide Leatherworks dog collar is Australias premium handmade collar

And it won’t let you down, with only the highest quality materials used by a master craftsman.

Let me tell you a bit more about it…

Most So-Called “Leather” collars Are Rubbish...

I’m Aaron.

And this is my wife Sarah and my kids, Chip and Autumn.

I’m the founder and head craftsman at Anvil Hide Leatherworks.

And here’s something most top pet stores don’t want you to know...

Most “leather” collars out there are rubbish!

After only about a year the leather starts to crack and split...

The holes stretch out and distort...

Or the buckles end up breaking.

That’s because they use inferior bonded leather - leather offcuts and filings glued together and stamped “Genuine Leather”.

This so called “leather”, which isn’t real leather at all, break down quickly, soon looking tired and shabby - leaving your dog looking less then his best.

Even some of the most popular brand name collars are often mass produced in foreign factories and go from the first to the final step without a leather craftsman even looking at them.

These overpriced collars do not stand the test of time, they breakdown, look ugly, are uncomfortable for the dog and in 12 months, you are looking for a replacement.

Bonded leather that is stamped “genuine leather” is of very low quality.

The Anvil Hide Difference:

Collars made from bridle leather DESIGNED to be worn by animals, in all types of weather and environments...

5mm thick english bridle leather in black, with stainless steel hardware.

Things are different Anvil Hide handmade collar

We only use the best full grain vegetable tanned bridle and harness leathers from the world’s finest tanneries (like Thomas Ware and Sons in the UK, or Weaver select in the USA).

Designed specially with the comfort of the animal in mind, the bridle leather we use is supple yet strong - able to handle the elements that come with the life of an outdoor and active animal,  while remaining comfortable.

Just like high end leather boots that break in develop a beautiful patina over time and become the perfect fit, our leather collars are of such a high standard that they actually get better the longer they are worn.

Anvil Hide collars are made using bridle leather specifically designed for the sensitive areas of a horses head (the muzzle, forehead and cheek) so they are super comfortable and tough enough to standup to the rigours of everyday dog life

Our collars and leads are cut by hand from the hide, edges are rounded and burnished and holes are punched all by hand and fitted with solid brass or stainless steel hardware and buckles for a collar that will still be looking great years down the track.

And because they are all-natural and made with care, they not only last longer, they feel better too, providing all-day comfort for your pup for the coming years.

The finest leather and hardware with the upmost care and attention to detail goes into every single handmade Anvil Hide collar

“Now that we’ve had an Anvil Hide collar on Honey (our golden retriever) for the last month, I can really tell the difference in quality to any other collar we’ve had on her before. The leather was soft from the get go, yet thick and strong. Honey seems so happy with her new collar and matching lead and so are we!”

-Mary and Simon L. St Ives NSW

Did you know? Leather breathes; it is safe, natural, and organic. And the oils in your dog’s own skin and coat will help soften and “break in” the leather in his handsome collar.

It’s virtually impossible to buy a collar like this outside of a handful of small, dedicated workshops.

And as I said before, many of the high-end pet stores are selling uncomfortable leather bonded collars

...Even though they are often charging MORE than we are for our handmade bridle leather collars!
