This large double sided strop features 3 mm vegetable tanned leather on both sides of a solid timber (Tasmanian Oak) backing.
Made in Australia and built to last, this leather strop will keep your knives, chisels and cutting tools scary sharp for years to come.
New for 2026, a generiously sized (150gram) stropping compound* is included with the strop.
Design: One side has the flesh side out and the other side has the top grain out enabling you to have two different finishing edges for a razor sharp knife finish.
Use: Work the green compound into the flesh (grainy) side of the leather where the majority of the stropping would occur, followed by a quick once or twice on the top grain side (no compound)
The strop is generously sized at 90mm wide x 300mm long on a 20mm hardwood backing.
*Green compound tech specs: Micro-abrasive blend (aluminum oxide/chromium oxide) with particles around 1-2 microns, fine grit of 10,000 to 14,000 grit.
**depending on what leather I have available at the time, your strop may have another coloured leather (brown for example), keep in mind it will be covered in compound and strop marks after first use anyway…**
