I used the scrap leather to repair an old bench seat which I had given a refresh to.
Buying small quantities of reasonably priced and acceptable quality leather off-cuts for restoring antique chisels and hammer handles might sound straightforward, particularly in a 'global market place'. Not so. Most of what's on offer out there is overpriced and of variable quality. Recently, I discovered Anvil Hide. I read a little about Aaron Welsh, recognized they were a emerging local business and gave them a try. The quality of the leather I received a short time later was exceptional. The price plus postage was very reasonable. I will be a return customer. I have no hesitation in recommending Anvil Hide to anyone who's in the market for an exceptionally good product.
Bought these for craft stuff and I received a good selection of offcuts. This one I used as a lanyard and I am very glad I did! Highly recommended for anything you can think of using it for!

I bought some off-cuts for lead rope poppers. I'm so impressed by the quality, price and service from Anvil Hide. Postage to Australia was as fast as local purchase. I'm definitely a repeat customer!

Perfect for a first time leather work. I ordered 2 of the 2m offcuts as I overlooked the 3 for price of 2 option but I still got 3 in the package, which was very kind! They made 3 dog leashes with just the right length and thickness.
Plenty of offcuts in various colours, perfect for a beginner like me to start practicing belt or dog collar or watch bands. Some of them are good length for women belt. shipping to Victoria cost $30 instead of $20 which I didn’t noticed anywhere remind me that until making payment. But it’s fine.
It says on average the lengths are between 800-1300mm. It’s more like 700mm with heaps of extremely short off cuts. I have ordered two batches but still can’t make enough pieces for my project because they are too short.
Store owner replied: Hi Kwok, Im not sure that this review is fair, they are offcuts after all - I cannot guarantee the length of each piece. If you need a specific length for a project I do sell full lengths at a very low price (they cost me 3 times what I sell them for). This item is extremely well priced given the leather quality, shop around you wont find better for even double the price.
A big package of very useful "Leather Off-cuts" which will make into dog collars, swag straps, and some other items. I will post pictures once I have completed the works. Once again thank you Aaron for a valuable package.
