Introducing The Century Belt, the belt with a 100 year guarantee.

Handcrafted in Australia using 5mm thick, 38mm wide strap, this belt is made using chrome girth point leather* from Thomas Ware and Sons in Bristol, UK - this is a leather belt like no other.

The matte solid brass or silver (solid brass with a nickel plate) roller buckle and keeper will make this belt a timeless investment you'll want to hand down to the grandchildren and with manufacture year stamped behind the buckle, you can show them when you bought it - all those years ago...

We know of no other company using this rather expensive to source leather in a belt and due to the quality and durability of both the over the top leather and thick solid brass hardware, we know that The Century Belt will certainly hold up to our 100 year guarantee.

Features:

  • 38mm wide belt dark brown or black
  • 5mm thick chrome girth point (Thomas ware tannery Bristol, UK)
  • Matte Solid Brass (gold) or Solid brass Silver (nickel plate) buckle, keeper and Chicago screws
  • Tri-tip end and 7 x oval holes
  • ”Makers date” stamped behind buckle

More about the incredible leather used in this belt:

*Girth point leather is specifically created for the equestrian trade to secure the saddle to the horse. It is a leather that requires three very distinct things - Strength (to hold the saddle to the horse), Durability (as it needs to resist wear and tear while being exposed to the elements) and Flexibility (to accomodate the movements of the horse and rider).

This leather has a high wax content making it firm to begin with, the belt will soften up over time and break in.

If embossing this belt with your names or initials, please choose "Plain" stamp as the gold and silver foil does not stick well to this leather due to the high wax content

Due to the strict criteria required in making girth point leather in the tannery only smaller hides are used and so we are only able to make this leather into belts for  137cm waists (50" pants) or less.
