We make this belt using the same incredible Hermann Oak Old World Tan leather we use to make the Unbreakable Belt. The perfect blend of the ruggedness of the thickness of Unbreakable with the comfort and everyday practicality of our Everyday Belt. This handmade leather belt features a uniquely special solid copper buckle in 2 different styles.
The Patina King will tell a story over the months and years of being worn in a way only leather of this quality can. Not only does this leather age beautifully, the natural copper buckle will oxidise and change appearance too, leaving you with a belt full of character. Expect darkening over time as this belt tells a story, It will end up drastically different to how it arrived on day one.
Typically this leather comes very thick (7mm) but has in this case has been skived down to 5.5mm thick to suit more of a day to day attire.
The belt width is 38mm meaning there is no issue with pairing this belt with almost any styles of pants (with the exception of some suit trousers that have smaller belt loops).
Nothing in the Anvil Hide lineup will change over time (patina) quite like the Patina King so if you are a fan of having your personal story on full display, this is the belt for you.
The Old World leather used in this belt is especially designed and processed to be like the leather your grandfather would have had, don't look for perfect ultra processed smooth and slick leather in this belt - its full of character and ready to age with you.

Please note that the centre bar buckle has a “solid brass” stamp on it, as it comes from the same factory that produces solid brass buckles in the same shape. Solid brass being a copper and zinc alloy. Rest assure that the buckle is indeed solid copper as noted as I have filed into the buckle and examined the cross section. (It is also not magnetic, and solid brass is slightly) please disregard this stamp

Sizing
CM indicated is to the centre hole of 7 holes. Holes are 2.5cm apart (1 inch), that gives you 3 inches to go up or down before you run out of holes.
*if buying as a gift and an old belt is unavailable, belt sizes are true to pants size NOT ACTUAL INCHES (pants inches are not the same as true inches), if they're a 32" waisted pant , select a 32" belt.

One day in and already starting to take on a patina, can’t wait for the copper to tarnish.
Feels very thick and built to last. Probably the coolest belt you can find on the market.
Couldn’t be more happy with the purchase, if you debating it, just go for it. You won’t be disappointed.
My only critique is that the inside of the belt buckle is a sharper corner than the rounding on the strap. This leads to denting on the leather, although it adds to the charm.

I absolutely love my Patina Belt. The quality and craftsmanship are outstanding. It's already showing some age and character, after 10 days of touring around Vietnam, in the heat, rain and humidity. I get the feeling it can only get better with age!

Absolutely amazing belt. This was number 4 in my Anvil Hide collection. The video I shared shows patina from about 5 months of wear (rotating through a few other belts). The colours really come alive when the belt flexes due to the oils and waxes within the leather (thanks Aaron for taking the time to explain the differences between leathers). I've become such a fan of the Hermann Oak leathers.
This Patina king belt is just the ticket and the Hermann oak leather and workmanship that has gone in to making this belt is next level quality.

This belt is probably the last everyday belt I'll own. It's thick, quite thick, and whilst I'm not claiming it would stop a bullet it's the best candidate of my attire to do so.
But even with it's chunky contruction, it possesses an elegance. No it's not ornate, but the craftsmanship is beyond superb compared to the leagues of belts out there.
The price is worth it when the 7 year warranty towers over it's competitors. As a prior warranty officer this is one of the best metrics for longevity. I'm confident it will last and look forward to coming back in a decade's time to reflect on it.
The belt is very thick and high quality. You can tell straight away that it is going to last for years! Buy some conditioner to soften it and your set.

This belt is unlike all genuine leather belts I’ve seen, this belt is thick real leather!! Belt has darkened after a week and will only get better with age
Just got back from safari in Botswana. These were my two favorite items of clothing on tour. The Patina King is definitely the sturdiest belt I've ever had but it's also really good looking. Love the copper buckle, it's the perfect compliment to hide. Brilliant.
its not often my expectations are exceeded but this belt is absolutely amazing. The workmanship and look of this belt is exceptional. Would definitely recommend if you want a belt you can hand down to your kids once you have finished with it
Probably my favourite Anvil Hide belt of all (and I have a few!). I can interchange the two copper buckles. The look ,the feel, and quality to boot.
